Quick Search in WordPress

Hi,

I am using dadaBIK to present a table of records to unauthenticated users in WordPress. It works great except for some odd behavior as follows. If it doesn't have enough width on the screen to display it's menu, it eliminates the Quick Search elements from the screen. For example...

If the browser window is narrow it looks like this: http://www.48ovvi.org/misc/shot1.jpg

If I widen it a bit, for a small range of widths the menu and quick search fields appear: http://www.48ovvi.org/misc/shot2.jpg

If I widen it further, it reverts to the first layout: http://www.48ovvi.org/misc/shot3.jpg

I don't really need the menu on the left, but I sure would like to have the Quick Search fields there. Obviously there is room enough for them since they appear briefly as I widen the browser window.

Interestingly, it behaves differently in different browsers. The third, widest variation where the menu disappears does not occur in Chrome. (The behavior I described above was in Safari). So I guess Apple's penchant for being different strikes again.

Would be helpful if I could suppress the left side dadaBIK menu for when dadaBIK is in a WordPress wrapper tho...

Hello,
that's the responsive design, if the screen width (or, the window width) is under a certain value, the mobile layout is used.

You can set the $menu_type in the configuration file.

Thanks! $menu_type="drop_down_menu"; improves things for me a lot.
