Hello,
this probably means that DaDaBIK cannot write in its own folder, if these are your permission settings, you can't use the new upgrade procedure. But I guess uploads are not working either, unless you have different permissions on the uploads folder.

Best,

My sites tend not to allow user uploads so it has never been an issue!

Is uploads the only directory the webserver needs to be able to write to?

If you want to use the new upgrade procedure, PHP needs permissions to write in the whole dadabik folder.

OK - I temporarily granted permissions and it worked except I get the following:-

Ok, that's something that several other users submitted and yes, it's a small bug: the new upgrade procedure registers the upgrade as 10.4 instead of 10.4-Manarola and this make DaDaBIK thinks there is a new release available (but, at least at the moment, there isn't).

This doesn't affect in any way the functionalities of DaDaBIK and it will be fixed in the next release.

Best,
