Installing dadabik

Here my problem:
The webserver is local (127.0.0.1) and installed on a NAS.

I made the download and copy the files into a folder "DADA"
I edited the config.php like ist is shown below:

I tried different changings, but nothing brings the success

Note: This is my first attempt at installing a software on the server
After reading the installation instructions of DADABIC I did not expect my ignorance, sorry

Anyway, for sure you missed to fill

I need assistance with the install. I am new to this. This is my second attempt to load dadabik and I am getting different errors. Hopefully that means I may be getting closer. The specific errors are included at the end of this post. Below is a list details regarding my system, and software I am using.
1. Windows7 (64bit machine)
2. Xammp1.8.3 (32 bit but it works). Using apache 2.4.7, apache server is working and HTPP:// localhost/ is finding the xammp frontpage.
3. MYSQL workbench 6.0 (downloaded from MYSQL.org.). It is installed, working correctly and includes sample database “sakila”. My goal is to use this database in dadabik. NOTE: XAMMP comes with mysql included. I can see my database information in xammp under the “Myphpadmin” section.
4. I have followed the instructions and set up the conf. file as needed. I presume it is correct. ( see paste below)

please check if you have PDO enabled, as specified in DaDaBIK requirements

An easy way to check it is the following one:

1) create a page containing just

2) Try to find the word PDO in the page and report here your results

per you instructions I have created the file "test.php". I am able to find the file using the following command http://localhost/sakiladadabik/test.php. The results are shown in the "paste" following the error messages below.

However using this command,http://localhost/sakiladadabik/install.php I am still receiving the same errors I originally got. Please explain in detail what needs to be fixed in db_functions_pdo.php. Do you have an example of what this file is supposed to look like? There are many "conn" . Can you explain or demonstrate how each one needs to be setup? What tool do you use to isolate the specific line number in the error message? Using MS Notebook is the only tool I know how to use for this and it doesn't find the line numbers.

Hello,
the error

[06] Error: during database connection.

normally means that $host, $user or $pass are wrong. Are you sure the parameters are correct? Are you using them with success in other programs?
Also try to use 127.0.0.1 instead of localhost, as suggested.

I have no other programs where I have to use localhost or a webserver. I do have xampp loaded and running. I changed the config file to 127.0.0.1 saved the file and retried ..and got the same result. If Notebook is not finding the line number provided in the message, then is the error message incorrect?

error which most probably means that your $host $user or $pass are incorrect. Try to set $debug_mode to 1 in config.php to get a more descriptive error message.
