If I set a field prefix, say "https://" for an url content-typed field, this prefix shows up in the insert form, but not in the edit form. Wouldn't it make sense to have it in the edit form as well?
Hi Stephan,
I don't think it would make sense: if, from the insert form, you enter the URL with https:// (as suggested by the prefix you set), you already see such prefix in the edit form, because the value is now stored in the database.
Hi Eugenio,
The use case is: The URL field is not mandatory. User inserts a new record without providing a url. Later he wants to add that information.
Thanks,
Stephan
You are right, IF the field is empty, it would help to have the prefix in edit form. I will consider that.
If you want, you can add this to the feature requests forum.
