What is "show all" supposed to do?

Hello:

For my purposes, it doesn't make too much difference whether "show all" and "home" do the same thing, but I am curious because there are two options displayed on the screen, with two different names, but when I use either one, the result is the same. Both take me back to the first page of the main listing of data file contents.

It seems to me that "show all" should mean something like "display the entire content of the data file on one page". I have $records_per_page set to 10, and the "show all" option shows the same (first) 10 records that are shown on the "home" screen.

Thank you, in advance, for any clarification you might be able to offer.

Until version 3.1 Beta, the home link sent you to a menu page containing search, show all, edit - depending on the permissions that were set (an example of this can be seen here >>> http://membres.lycos.fr/teacherguy/index.php).

As of 3.1 Beta, the display opens up to the show all view of the database.

You can remove one of those links if you want (in the footer*.php files) or you can create a main menu page for your database and use the home link to go to it and the show all to view all the records. See post >>> http://www.dadabik.org/forum/read.php?f=1&i=2788&t=2788 -- about 1/2 way down I posted how to get this done.
