Results grid, show preview for large body of text

Is there a way to reduce how much data is shown on columns with a large body of text? Something like how AirTable shows only a couple of lines but it can be expanded on clicking the cell? In the screenshot below I am expecting all four columns to have a large body of text.

I agree, it makes rows on the main page really tall, so you can't see very many without scrolling.

I've been trying to figure this out as well, thinking custom css might be the answer.
