anonymous mySQL

I've pulled down DaDaBIK and it looks really great but after I unzip the install package and place it on my web server, running install.php does nothing. Since I am running mySQL in anonymous mode, users don't have passwords. Is this a problem for DaDaBIK? In config.ini, I left

// select database password
$pass = "";

Any help will be appreciated.

I run my local version in anonymous mode on a windoz box and it works ok.

Did you create a database and include the name in the config?

Did you provide user name (I use root)?
