Upgrading to Newer Dadabik Version

Hi,

I am successfully running the version listed below. I have 3 questions.

I am thinking about upgrading to a newer version but do not want to run into any problems/extra work with an upgrade.

1. Are upgrades smooth?

At the moment I view data using master/details view for items from many tables and all information appears down the screen.

2. Do any upgrades allow me to present the items form other tables via clickable tabs?

3. Am I better off keeping with what works now?

I would be grateful for any suggestions.

Thanks,

Paul

You are using DaDaBIK version 7.3.3 pro, installed on 11-26-2016, the last version of DaDaBIK is released on --

You are not running the last release of DaDaBIK, the release you are running might have bugs and security holes, see the official change log for further information. You can upgrade DaDaBIK here.

Hello,
here are the instructions for upgrading:

https://dadabik.com/index.php?function=show_documentation#upgrade

there isn't any known upgrade issues, upgrade are smooths if you didn't change anything in the core dadabik code. Backup your dadabik application (code and database), just in case.

About master/details views, I would say no big changes since DaDaBIK 7. But A LOT of new features have been introduced and bugs (even security bugs) fixed. Complete list here:

https://dadabik.com/index.php?function=show_changelog

Check the requirements, that have been changed (in particular you need ioncube):

Best,
