this is related to the current version (V 11.7) but it most probably affects old version as well.
If you use a lookup field and you enable Use AJAX to load options in form configurator and one of the linked fields could contain NULL values, the field doesn't work correctly: when you type in the lookup field, the (matching) options having at least one NULL linked field don't show up. This bug apparently does not occur if you used MS SQL Server, at least for some versions/configurations.
Workaround: at the moment the only workaround is to disable Use AJAX to load or to remove from the linked fields all those fields that can potentially se set as NULL. An official fix will be released with the (upcoming) version 11.8.
