I fixed the <br> tag issue by adding a print style to hide them: br { display:none; }

I added some print styles to the styles_screen_custom.css file and I can see they are there when viewing the file on the server, but when I print details pages, it seems to only load the styles_screen.css file. I added my print styles there and they work fine, but I know they will be overwritten...
